  • Abstract
    In this paper, we propose a novel ultra-wideband (UWB) signal localization scheme under indoor multipath channel. The proposed method does not depend on line-of-sight path (LP) and is suitable for severe non line-of-sight (NLOS) condition. Simultaneously a low-complexity TOA estimation algorithm-strongest path (SP) detection by convolution is designed, which is easier to implement than LP detection due to the avoidance of the threshold setting process. Experiments under the NLOS channels in IEEE.802.15.4a are conducted whose results prove the feasibility of the proposed localization scheme under the indoor multipath NLOS environment. We also discuss the localization influences of the algorithm parameters through out the paper.
