Abstract :
In this paper we formulate a scheme of multiuser power control for synchronous code-division multiple access (CDMA) wireless systems. The power control algorithm assumes that the receiver structure is fixed and iteratively updates the transmit powers of the users. On the other hand, multiuser detection optimizes the receiver structure with the assumption that the users have fixed transmitter powers. In this study, the two approaches are combined. The algorithm based on the conceptual framework of noncooperative game theory and conditional minimum mean-square error interference cancellation (MMSE-IC) iterative detectors is proposed to iteratively update the transmitter powers and receiver filter coefficients of the users. Simulation results are presented showing the good performance of the algorithm.
