Abstract :
This paper presents numerical results of 94 GHz radar cross section (RCS) characteristics for the purpose of signal-to-clutter ratio (S/C) enhancement feasibility study. Our analysis method is an electromagnetic field integral equation based on physical optics and a random rough surface with perfect conductivity is postulated as the scatterer. It is found that the RCS at 94 GHz is independent of the radar incident angle and cross-polarization is greater at 35 GHz. The unique polarization characteristics is also seen especially at 94 GHz, where ellipticity and tilt angle are fluctuating randomly. Using the analyzed RCS results, we discuss the capability of S/C enhancement at 94 GHz
