Abstract :
The state of "chemicals information sharing" necessary for better management of chemical products across their supply chains in Japan was surveyed in. The most important information items for chemicals management were found to be substance names and concentrations for supplied products. They are commonly possessed by upstream substance manufacturers, and are provided from upstream suppliers to downstream user industries by means of MSDS. It was also found that the information disappears or loses its accuracy when transmitted at downstream stages. Based on these findings, proposals were made for the improvement
