Identification of Problems Associated with Exchanging Information across a Product Supply Chain for Chemicals Risk Management

The state of "chemicals information sharing" necessary for better management of chemical products across their supply chains in Japan was surveyed in. The most important information items for chemicals management were found to be substance names and concentrations for supplied products. They are commonly possessed by upstream substance manufacturers, and are provided from upstream suppliers to downstream user industries by means of MSDS.
