Abstract :
This paper focused on investigating the enhancement of bandwidth for rectangular slot antenna with L-shaped and double I-shaped stub tuning. The bandwidth was increased from the original antenna by using the I-shaped stub tuning technique through adding tuning on both sides of ground plane for matching impedance 50Ω. The results indicated that the proposed antenna is capable of WLAN/WiMAX applications. The operational parameters and characteristics of the proposed antenna were determined by using the experimental technique and simulation software: CST Microwave Studio. The prototype antenna was fabricated on FR4. The overall goodness of agreement between the measured and simulated values was high. The measured bandwidth of proposed antenna is 100.67% (2.05 - 6.18 GHz) which was pressed with bi-directional radiation pattern with the average gain value of 4.76 dBi.
