Abstract :
A novel integrated photonic radio frequency (RF) phase shifter using a dual-drive Mach-Zehnder modulator is proposed. This RF phase shifter has a simple configuration and is fabricated easily. The simulated results show that this device has excellent performance in shifting phase. It is expected that this RF phase shifter will find widespread applications in optically controlled phased array systems and optical fiber communication systems.
