Abstract :
We fabricated silicon photonic crystal nanocavities and observed intense photoluminescence (PL) form crystalline silicon at cavity resonant wavelengths. More than 300-times stronger peak intensity and a 50-fold enhancement of integrated PL intensity were demonstrated.
