  • Abstract
Many eco-design methodologies are available at present for physical products in industries. Yet, missing is another piece of technology; a way of balancing the value and cost of multiple stakeholders related in a service. This is critical because a service with an excessive load on one of the stakeholders does not work as a whole. For the sake of this, the authors propose a model named MVC (Model for Balancing Value and Costs), which is a fundamental model to design services with an appropriate balance. In MVC, a flow model from Service Engineering serves as a basis. In addition, presented are a preliminary description of the model with associated evaluation functions and operations in design
