Abstract :
This paper provides an outline of our project, which involves exploring CCIF (the cartoon character interface), the graphical user interface, using a cartoon character that acts as a anthropomorphic agent. In this paper, we report the effectiveness of using cartoon characters to convey man-machine interaction and illustrate that the characters are acceptable to. In view of the above, we designed the simulator of the CCIF for a sales terminal and conducted a practical experiment. We then confirmed the advantage of CCIF operations with regard to the existing interface, the effect of the intuitive instruction and nonverbal interaction. Finally, we introduced the animation composer required to create the CCIF
