Abstract :
This article aims to introduce a software tool for induced voltages and currents calculation inside structure caused by electromagnetic field radiated by lightning strike to PV systems which are installed on the top of the structure. The methodology used in the calculation is accordance with standard IEC 62305 - 4: 2010. This program has been developed to determine electromagnetic field, induced loop voltages and currents in a lightning protection zone 1 (LPZ 1). As a result, the software is very useful in calculation of induced over-voltage and current and helps engineers in lightning protection design.
