  • Abstract
In this paper, by using GIS analyzing technology, the distribution characteristics of S02 and TSP, and the interrelation with pollution sources have been studied. And also combined with the state air quality standard, the types of SO2 and TSP have been zoned and the air pollution situations of Lanzhou have been objectively analyzed. The analyzed results show that SO2 and particle pollution situations are consistent with distribution of sources. The railway station is the most serious area because of much low living sources located here. In most of Lanzhou urban area, about 85%, SO2 can reach the second state air quality standard. And only 1% area exceeds the third standard. But it is very serious for particle pollution, most of area exceeds the second particle standard of state, even 30% exceeds the third standard. So particle is the principal pollutant of Lanzhou city.
