Abstract :
In this paper, we propose an interactive, hierarchical architecture for wide-area water supply planning. Using the proposed architecture, we can make satisfactory schedules reflecting the decision-maker´s preferences. The system consists of an upper layer and a lower layer. The upper layer corporately generates the parameters used for the optimization in the lower layer. The advantage of our developed system is that the network parameters for optimization are not necessarily prepared beforehand but are generated automatically during the interactive decision process
