Abstract
In this paper a combination of triangular and circular shape microstrip antenna design is proposed. The proposed design of antenna will work in wireless application and provide contribution in the field of ultra wide band application. The proposed design is fabricated on low cost FR-4 epoxy substrate with relative permittivity 4.4 and having dimension 17.89×21.45×1.6 mm3. This proposed antenna design operates over the frequency range 4.12 GHz-6.8 GHz. For the proposed design return loss -33.74 dB has achieved at resonant frequency 5.6 GHz. Also VSWR <; 2 for entire operating frequency range. In this paper, microstrip feed line has used to feed the proposed antenna. The proposed design exhibits gain up to 2.2 dB over frequency range. The radiation pattern of the proposed design exhibits symmetry over frequency range in E-plane and omni-direction in H-plane. The simulation of the proposed antenna design has done by High Frequency Structure Simulator.
