Abstract :
This paper presents a novel SIMD architecture for texture mapping using affine transformation that can be used in mobile applications. It is used in MPEG video object motion tracking and texture warping processors. The architecture explores the properties of the affine transformation to reduce the computational cost. It is prototyped using 0.35 μm CMOS technology with three layers of metal
