Abstract
The shortages in traditional chaos scrambling scheme are obvious: the limited ability of anti-predicting and the effect of finite word length. To overcome these shortages, a novel image scrambling algorithm is proposed in this paper. Making use of on the well confidentiality that chaos sequence possessed, the proposed image scrambling algorithm has strong randomicity. So it had the merit of increasing the complexity of the generated chaos sequence, and decreasing the effect of finite word length at the same time. The experimental results and theoretic analyses shown the proposed algorithm has very good performance in improving confidentiality of scrambled image.
