Abstract
An analysis and comparison of different sensorless field oriented control techniques for three phase induction motors employed in low cost applications are presented in this paper. The comparison is performed by simulation and experimental work to identify the behavior of the chosen control solutions in a real industrial implementation. In addition, the paper intends addressing specific implementation issues, such as deep field weakening operation. Experimental results are presented for a low cost 820 W three-phase induction motor.
