Abstract :
A new two-port cross adaptor for complex wave digital filters (CSDFs) is introduced. The adaptor is well suited for hardware realizations of CWDFs because of its inner structure. It is shown that every three-port adaptor may be equivalently substituted by an arrangement of two-port adaptors, or, allowing even more efficient realizations, by the proposed cross adaptor. It is also shown that complex arithmetic units may be used efficiently for real wave digital filters
