Development of Life Cycle Scenario Description Support Tool

For solving the environmental issues, realizing closed-loop product life cycles has become more and more important. A key for achieving sustainable product life cycles is their strategy. While there are many kinds of life cycle design support tools, there is no tool for supporting decision of life cycle strategies by representing them explicitly. The purpose of this study is to propose a tool supporting description of life cycle scenario, a type of representation of the life cycle strategy, with recording design rationales. An example of life cycle scenario by using the proposed tool is illustrated. This example shows the flow of drawing a life cycle scenario from setting objectives to clarifying requirements for product and process design
