After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.
We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.

This article draws the idea of traditional value chain analysis, and raises the importance of vertical synergies and service differentiation in Search Engine Company´s virtual value chain system. The article uses virtual value chain analysis to analyze activities and their association in business, using Baidu as an example. According to the results, some suggestions for Search Engine Company´s competitive advantage, core competencies and future development are proposed.
