Abstract :
An experimental crosspoint network switch for interprocessor communication in parallel computing is described. The switch contains FIFO buffers at each crosspoint and directly supports broadcast, scatter and gather operations. It is currently used to supplement the overcommitted shared system bus in the 16-node Makbilan parallel computer
