Abstract :
A receiver chain followed by a SAW filter suffers from a high current consumption in the last stage used for driving the filter. In this paper a new feedback scheme for improving the efficiency of a SAW driver is proposed. The required DC current in small-signal conditions is reduced with a factor of two and, at the same time, linearity is significantly improved. In addition, three 30-dB gain IF-amplifiers are described. The circuits are simulated with device models from a 0.9 μm SiGe HBT process
