Abstract
A method applicable to ophthalmology for the localization of an elliptically shaped object in images of the optic disk is proposed. The method is based on the distribution of intensities of the image, and on a basic understanding of the image. The method described is for use in the diagnosis and follow-up of glaucomatous pathologies
