Abstract
An effective method is proposed to reconstruct the digital elevation model (DEM) in satellite synthetic aperture radar interferometry (InSAR). The proposed algorithm includes two steps: the first step is to interpolate the orbit data precisely with the exploration of the orbital elements; the second step is to simulate interferometric phase in low coherence regions with the use of SRTM DEM. The accuracy of the InSAR derived DEM can be significantly improved without any ground control points (GCPs), especially those regions contaminated by masses of residues. The experimental results with Envisat data show the effectiveness of our approach.
