Abstract
A linear generator harvests which bridge vibration energy is used as the power source for a 3.3 V supply for the wireless sensor. Because of its ironless structure, the generator must be designed using the finite element method (FEM). The prime mover´s mass and spring stiffness are analyzed with the vibration energy of the bridge. The linear generator´s model is built in FEM package. The dynamic voltage with time produced by the generator is obtained with a transient electromagnetic field analysis. Finally, the experimental results of the linear generator are shown at different frequencies and displacements.
