Abstract :
Energy efficiency, fault tolerance, scalability, connectivity and reliability are major challenges in wireless sensor networks. Many clustering algorithm are proposed to handle these challenges. Heterogeneous schemes are similar to real situations. Many routing protocols have been proposed for clustering scheme based on heterogeneity. In this paper, an Energy Efficient Two Level Distributed Clustering (EE-TLDC) scheme is proposed with two level cluster heads for three level heterogeneous networks. Proposed technique reduces the transmission cost of cluster heads to reduce energy consumption in network. Simulation shows that proposed scheme prolongs the stability period and reduces energy consumption in network.
