Abstract
The agricultural waste such as rice husk and sawdust can be gasified to produce bio-gas which can be used as fuel or synthesized liquid fuel. In this work, gasification efficiencies of rice husk and sawdust with different equivalent ratio (ER) were experimentally investigated in a self-heated fluidized gasifier. The higher heat value (HHV) of bio-gas is more than 3.90 MJ/Nm3. The energy conversion efficiency is up to 44.0%, which decreases with the increasing of equivalent ratio (ER). The energy input and output in the gasification system were calculated. The power input was 9.5 kW, whereas the power output of the gasification system was 34.8 kW.
