  • Abstract
    Assembly is one of the most significant stages in manufacture, which leads the importance of assembly knowledge management theoretically and technically. Current assembly design system lacks of intelligent guidance for the reason that assembly knowledge hadn´t been used in rightly context. The paper analyzed in detail the current status of assembly knowledge management in manufacturing enterprise, and gave the definition of assembly knowledge and assembly context. In addition, the method for contextualization of assembly was proposed. Engineering application architecture of assembly context was given and a hierarchical model of it was established.
