Abstract :
This paper presents dynamic modeling and simulation of voltage source induction motor drives assisted by PSPICE. From the qd dynamic model of the electrical and mechanical modes, PSPICE equivalent circuits are designed and implemented for each harmonic voltage component. Closed form qd voltage equations are derived in case of a six step inverter. The proposed PSPICE net-list structured approach allows easy adding or deleting of harmonic contribution to the drive motor dynamics. Variety of transient behavior cases, such as starting, speed reversal, frequency perturbation, are investigated. Salient results are presented and commented upon
