Abstract :
A method of address assignment for any two levels of a hierarchical address is described. With this method, the number of hierarchical component does not have to be predicted in advance. Addresses are assigned as they are needed, and the field sizes evolve according to the number and size of hierarchy components, resulting in efficient utilization of the address space
