Abstract
In this paper, a novel design method for a self-repairing control system (SRCS) is developed for a plant with both sensor bias and failure. By using the unstable and differential filters, the proposed SRCS cannot only detect an abrupt failure of a stuck-type, but also remove the effects of the sensor bias. The advantage of the method is that any information about the plants for fault detection is required. Thus, one can construct the simple fault detector for the SRCS whose structure does not depend on the structure of the plant.
