Abstract
A mobile ad hoc network (MANET) has attracted a lot of research attention. An important application scene of ad hoc network is military. In the battlefield, group mobility occurs frequently and nodes in group usually locate in a diamond region. Therefore, we proposed a new group mobility modeling-the Diamond Group Mobility (DGM). And we compared the performance of the DGM with that of the Reference Point Group Mobility (RPGM). Simulation results show the DGM is different from that of the RPGM. And the DGM is more suitable for the ad hoc network in military.
