Abstract :
The new generation of DSP designed for motor control applications allow to obtain high performance motor drives at low cost, and therefore are suitable for high volume application such as domestic washing machines. This paper will show how a DSP-based motor control can achieve higher performance and be cost competitive when compared to a microcontroller-based solution.
