Abstract
Nanocomposites of poly(¿-caprolactone) (PCL) and nanohydroxyapatite (nHAP) were prepared by electrospinning to produce 300 nm nanofibers containing 0, 25, and 50 wt% of nHAP. The composite nanofibers were characterized for structure, morphology, and mechanical properties. Mesenchymal stem cells grown on the nanofibers show different degree of osteogenic differentiation dependent on nHAP content with the highest nHAP content giving the best mineralization.
