  • Abstract
    Summary form only given. A numerical model for simulating charged particle interactions with electromagnetic fields in general configurations, including particle generation and recombination, is described. The model operates in the time-domain, hence transient and non-linear effects can be efficiently and rigorously studied. The model is based on the transmission line modelling (TLM) method which is well established for EM field simulation. In TLM electric and magnetic fields are described in terms of voltage and current pulses on a matrix of transmission lines covering the problem space.
