Abstract
This paper presents the project of a distributed emergency lighting system by using light emitting diodes. The converter applied to supply this network consists of the integration of two flyback converters. The integrated converters are responsible for the battery charge maintenance and LEDs´ supplying. Simulation and experimental results are shown in order to validate the proposed idea. The design has been accomplished according to the IEEE STD 446, 1995 and Brazilian standards NBR 10898,1999.
