Abstract :
The image display devices used in intelligent machines are very important to exchange information between the operators and the machines online. So far as displays are used, visual strain to the operator could not be avoided during the display operations. Since the electronic Landolt´s ring test checks the degradation of the visual accommodation during the contiguous display operations, the subjects are requested to accept the electronic Landolt´s ring test before and after the evaluation. Referring to the accomplishment of the electronic Landolt´s ring test, a test was carried out to check if we could perceive the pseudo-stereoscopic vision of images on the color image display. We found that we could perceive the pseudo-stereoscopic image on the color image display, under the satisfactory environmental conditions of illumination and image quality. Based on the nature of the images on the color image display described above, we proposed a hypothetic theory of the logarithmic rules to the hypothetic distances of objects seen on the display screen.
