Abstract :
In recent years, more fierce competition in telecommunication industry and fast development of mobile Internet value-added services result in continuing declination of market shares of China Telecom, which takes fixed telephone and little smart system as primary businesses. It is necessary for China Telecom to apply data mining tools to predict customer churn so as to raise the pertinence of customer marketing decision. This paper takes E9 Package project of China Telecom as an example and builds an improved customer churn prediction model based on CRISP_DM. The result shows that modeling on C5.0 algorithms with the condition of considering fault classification loss has lower utilization cost and higher prediction effect, comparing with CART algorithms.
