  • Abstract
    The feasibility of implementing an ultrafast NOT gate by means of a Mach-Zehnder switch that employs quantum-dot semiconductor optical amplifiers is theoretically investigated and demonstrated. The numerical simulation conducted for this purpose allows to find the permissible range of values for the critical parameters and a combination that is appropriate for realizing the specific Boolean function with high performance.
