  • Abstract
Many insects like ants can run on the wall or ceiling, due to the micro-force from their special gesture and structure of their limbs. In the paper, we propose a new method of measurement system based on high-speed image detection of revolving target. In the test, we choose ants for our target on the centrifuge, and we can get the maximum adhesive force and friction effectively. As the same time, we also can get the images of the ants when they move in different speed. That provides lots of experiment data and foundation to the research on micro- biomimetic robotics based on the theory of wet adhesive. And the maximum adhesive force of the ant of 5 mg is 5.8 mN in the experiment.
