Abstract
This paper inspects the biomechanics characteristics of a human knee joint with measurement data. First, the biomechanics characteristics of a joint are introduced. Then a knee joint is simplified as a joint with one axis, and the biomechanics characteristics are studied quantitatively through X-ray Photo measurement and STK video analyzing system. The maximum range of motions of a knee joint in dynamic and static states as well as the changes of the length and the force arm of the muscles participating in knee joint motions are measured, and the extent of the muscular participation and the sequence to reach the maximum force arm are found out. This paper demonstrates the biomechanics characteristics of a knee joint motion and provides theoretical basis for the analysis and prevention of knee joint injury.
