Abstract :
Methods for direct computation of the maximal structured singular value (SSV) over the frequency range require a recursive application of μ analysis. The authors point out that the problem can be solved by a single application of the v tool, which was introduced by Fan and Tits (1992) for complex uncertainties. The v upper bound by Fan and Tits is extended to the case of mixed uncertainties and the relationship between the complex/mixed μ and v upper bounds is clarified
