Abstract :
Pulse image detecting instrument was developed, which makes the tactile sensation of Chinese medicine diagnosis visible. The mental fatigue experiment was designed, and the pulse images were collected both before and after the mental fatigue experiments using the pulse image detecting instrument. The correlation method was adopted to get multi-points pulse signals from pulse dynamic images. The peak value frequency of pulse was calculated by power spectral analysis. Furthermore, the pulse width was extracted in space domain. The results show that the peak value frequency was significantly decreased after the experiment, and the pulse widths of 8 subjects out of 13 were increased. It suggests that pulse dynamic images may be useful for recognition of mental fatigue.
