Abstract :
A multi-sensor probe for non-destructive testing on conductive materials was set up and tested. Its behavior was investigated at first by using a dedicated simulation environment. Then experimental tests confirm the simulation results and allow to better highlight the probe effectiveness. The multi-sensor probe, operating on a number of specimens of different materials and with known cracks, proves to be capable of (i) correctly identifying the crack direction, (ii) detecting the crack location with an uncertainty contained within 1-mm.
