Abstract :
This electronic document researches on the clustering development of the geological data services. As a main carrier for public service of geological work, the importance of geological data service is realized, and demand for them increases steadily, but the qualities and types of geological information and the service model can not meet the society demand with the development of new technique and the information ear approaching. Government should utility the geological information manage systems and network technology to carry out the construction of the cluster geological information service to improve the management level of geological information and serve society better. Government should establish national and provincial geological data centers as platforms, and digitalize the geological data in the centers to establish different kind of databases. Distributed data services should be centralized on the one-stop information service websites by means of data management system and network service system, so the society can get three kinds of geological data services: core metadata, public data, customizable data via internet as well as backbone network, so as to meet the needs of economical and social development as much as possible.
