Abstract :
Metal/dielectric layered gratings are investigated both theoretically and experimentally. The results show that tunable MR can be achieved by only modulating the vertical chirped width dh. The linear relationship between MR wavelength and dh is found. Analytic formula deduced from LC model show good agreement with the simulated results, and the effective width of sanwich structure is obtained The linear dependence may provide a new way for proper experiment condition selection and offer a new choice for tunable MR and broad bandwidth of magnetic metamaterials.
