Abstract :
Theoretical studies reveal the intrinsic properties of field emission from carbon nanotubes, including to the chiral and size effects in the current density and the responses of the current density and emitted spectrum to the magnetic field. These novel properties originate from the energy band structure of the carbon nanotubes.
