Abstract
Leading into two order-parameters, that is, the percent of the transformed martensite phi and the mean strain epsiv, this paper is mainly to discuss the influence of external applied stress a on the initial phase transition temperature Tc, the amount of the transformed martensite and the nature of the martensitic transformation by making use of Landau´s phenomenological theory. A free-energy density functions is spread out according to phi and epsiv. The relations between phi and temperature T are investigated. The obtained conclusion can directly be compared with experimental results.
