Abstract :
Within the continuous change towards more collaborative production, aspects of interdependencies between collaborating production partners gain in importance. Collaborating production partners organise their work in Enterprise Networks. To our understanding interdependencies in collaborative Enterprise Networks appear on organisational and technical level. In single production companies such interdependencies are handled more natural within the grown internal structures whereas in collaborative Enterprise Networks, sometimes established just for short time, these organisational and technical interdependencies might be not recognizable straightaway. Not or too late recognized interdependencies might result in degradation of product quality in Enterprise Networks and followed by costly not adding value processes like reworking. In this paper, the rising importance of interdependencies in collaborative production in Enterprise Networks compared to single companies will be discussed. An outlook on how knowledge about these interdependencies and their identification can be applied will be given.
