Abstract
An optimal scheduling algorithm for the delivery of delayable videos is designed. The algorithm consists of two phases. In the packing phase, videos are optimally packed into the free channel profile; in the scheduling phase, the packed videos segments are advanced for transmission to keep all channels busy. The optimality of the rule is proved, and a comparison with the due-time-order and slack-time-order scheduling algorithms are made through an example
