Resource capacity search in collaborative print service networks

In fields of e-contracting, a lot of research work has been done since 1995. However until today comprehensive e-sourcing concepts for resource capacity search in inter-organizational collaboration networks are not available. This paper introduces such a concept in terms of inter-organizational collaboration in the graphic arts industry. The focus is on provider selection and ranking as well as on automated resource capacity checking with use of production schedule information. To achieve this, the concept is based on existing standards both in the graphic arts industry and for e-business activities, which have to get analyzed and extended, if necessary.
